‘I could kiss this man’ - Newcastle fans erupt as promotion is sealed

Our Newcastle fans here in the Transfer Tavern are feeling in jubilant spirits at the moment and you can certainly understand why that is the case.

Indeed, the Magpies finally earned their promotion back to the Premier League last night as they beat Preston emphatically 4-1 cuing wild scenes both here by the bar and particularly on Tyneside.

They’ve had to be patient, of course, as the Championship has proven more difficult than they would have imagined but none of that really matters now as they can look forward to a return to the top flight next season.

The job for Rafa Benitez now, of course, is to make sure the squad is ready to compete in the Premier League but whilst we wait to see how he goes about just that, let’s take a look at some of the reaction to the promotion.
