Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are raising their glasses in hope that this reported deal from the continent goes ahead.
TalkSport states that Inter Milan are exploring an option to rescue Radamel Falcao from his Chelsea nightmare, whilst it’s also suggested any deal could include Mauro Icardi joining Monaco in return.
Falcao has endured a horrific two years in the Premier League, scoring just four goals in his season with Manchester United and finding the net just once for Chelsea since joining the Blues on-loan over the summer.
Currently owned by Monaco, it’s suggested the French principality side may look to cut-short the Colombian’s loan deal in January so that his transfer value does not drop any further. However, Chelsea must agree to that proposal.
With the Blues struggling this season, and having just Diego Costa, Loic Remy and Falcao as their striker options, Jose Mourinho is unlikely to sanction any move unless he can sort out a deal for an incoming forward.
Our punters believe he should just cut his losses with Falcao immediately though, stating their manager would be better up-front than their unimpressive South American forward.
Chelsea fans, should you cut-short Falcao’s loan in January? Did you expect more from the striker? Let us know in the comments below!
