It’s definitely time for Bilic to say bye to these 2 players in January

For the West Ham fans in the Transfer Tavern, the January transfer window could make or break Slaven Bilic’s tenure at the helm…

The Hammers have seriously struggled this season, and in truth – Bilic’s safety at the helm is hanging by a thread.

West Ham are in need of a serious turnaround in form, and with January fast approaching, the West Ham fans in the Tavern are expecting more than a couple of big money signings.

However, January isn’t just about incomings – Bilic must also be concerned with who might be leaving the club.

Whether as a means of career progression or simply because they aren’t good enough; Bilic has a big squad and he must manage it effectively.

With that said, it’s definitely time for Bilic to say bye to these 2 players in January…

 Reece Oxford

Reece Oxford

It must be noted that under no circumstances should West Ham let Reece Oxford leave on a permanent basis.

The young midfielder is easily the most talented player in the Hammers’ youth setup, and he has all the makings of a future captain at the London Stadium.

However, under Bilic at present, Oxford simply isn’t getting enough first team action. Of course, he is just 17-years-old, and he has time on his side – but he is easily good enough to play a decent role.

It makes sense to start him early and get him into the first team as soon as possible, because at present he is simply treading water.

A short-term loan move to a Championship level side could be perfect, and then when he has a bit more experience under his belt – a role in the Hammers’ first team could follow.

Simeone Zaza

Simeone Zaza is only on loan at West Ham – and Slaven Bilic must be glad that he can move on from the flop following the conclusion of his deal.

The problem for Bilic, though, is that Zaza is contracted to remain at the London Stadium until the end of the campaign – and that is simply too long to wait.

He looks out of his depth and out of luck at West Ham – and in truth, Zaza should have been moved on weeks ago.

Somehow, Bilic needs to convince Juventus to allow the return of Zaza in January – as he will do very little for West Ham between now and the end of the season.
