Leeds United have already enjoyed a busy summer in the transfer market.
The Whites have strengthened their squad with the arrivals of Tarik Muharemović from Sassuolo and Harry Wilson from Fulham, but there has also been plenty of movement in the opposite direction.
Pascal Struijk, Karl Darlow, Illan Meslier, Maximilian Wöber and Isaac Schmidt have all departed Elland Road.
Now, another familiar face looks set to follow them out of the exit door.
Harrison to Join New England Revolution
According to The Athletic, Jack Harrison is on the verge of completing a move to MLS side New England Revolution, with the American club closing in on an agreement to sign the Leeds United winger.
Described as “special” by former New York City FC teammate David Villa, Harrison is expected to join New England as one of the club’s designated players.
The 29-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan at Fiorentina, contributing one goal and three assists during his spell in Serie A.
Harrison’s professional career began in the United States with New York City FC, where his performances earned him a move to Manchester City before loan spells at Middlesbrough and Leeds. He would eventually make Elland Road his permanent home, becoming a key figure in Marcelo Bielsa’s side that won the Championship in 2019/20.
In total, Harrison made 219 appearances for Leeds, playing a major role in both their promotion to the Premier League and their successful fight for survival the following season before later spending two campaigns on loan at Everton.
Now, after another spell back at Elland Road, his long association with the Yorkshire club appears set to come to an end with a return to the United States.
