Johan Elmander – Enquiries Made…

Newcastle United are the latest club to make enquiries for Bolton’s eye-catching Elmander. According to The Mirror.

So far Liverpool, Tottenham, Lazio and Fiorentina have all been linked with the Swedish winger. It wouldn’t be unfair to say Elmander has had a pretty so so career, but since Owen Coyle’s at The Reebok he’s been rejuvenated. He’s gone from a journeyman to being good to watch! Six goals or what is it so far this season?

A fee of maybe £12M could be asked for Johan, but what would be the point of letting a player who is flourishing where he is go? My take is that this would be a backward step for the player and as desirable as a move might be, he should hold tight and carry on the good work where he is.
