Josh Onomah is set for another spell on the sidelines.
It’s believed that the Englishman dislocated his elbow in training last Friday, according to The Star.
Sadly, the 21-year-old was rushed to hospital after suffering the injury and is due to discover whether he requires surgery later this week.
The Verdict:
Onomah has been a key performer for the Owls this season and he would have played a big part from here on in until the end of the season, but a hamstring injury and now a dislocated elbow has made things complicated.
The Owls will need to look for inspiration from a couple of other players from here on in, with Adam Reach needing to step up and give the fans exactly what they want. It would be some achievement if Sheffield Wednesday manage to secure a play-off spot, and it’s safe to say that fans would never live it down, especially if promotion is achieved.
But, Onomah’s injury will come as a big blow as he’d only just returned to proceedings, so they may have to make do without him for the remainder of the current campaign.
