Leeds United were linked with a number of signings in the summer when Marcelo Bielsa arrived at Elland Road.
There was plenty of speculation that Manchester City or Tottenham Hotspur could help The Whites out with players with Pep Guardiola and Mauricio Pochettino holding close ties to the Championship boss.
However, no such moves happened and it appears one man has come out and revealed that he did not know if the rumours were true surrounding him in the summer.
Speaking in an interview to football.london, Juan Foyth has stated that he was ‘never told’ about it and did not know if it was ‘true or not’.
“I was never told anything about that so I don’t know whether it was actually true or not,” he said.
Foyth has become a key member of the Tottenham squad this season, despite not being included in their Champions League team, and has learned to adapt to the Premier League following a tough introduction.
The Verdict:

Leeds have had their problems in defence with injuries and suspensions taking their toll on a back line that is short of numbers.
Foyth would have been a great addition to that department in the summer if the Championship side would have had the chance to bring him to Elland Road.
However, the Argentina international is enjoying his time at Tottenham and that ship appears to have sailed now as he looks to establish himself as a regular under Pochettino.
Leeds fans – thoughts?
