‘Karma is class’ - Newcastle fans revel in latest Middlesbrough misery

Our Newcastle fans here in the Transfer Tavern are really enjoying this season and not only because they’ve gone up this season.

The Magpies, of course, have enjoyed this campaign most of all because they’ve won the Championship title and will be back in the Premier League next season but things in the top flight have made them smile too.

Indeed, they’ve seen Sunderland go down after another woeful campaign in the top flight and last night Middlesbrough joined them with a loss against Chelsea.

Magpies fans, then, were always going to be ruthless with this and so, with that in mind, here is the best of what was said about Boro last night on Twitter:
