Our Celtic fans here in the Transfer Tavern are looking forward to the end of this season as it could really go down in folklore if it all goes to plan.
It has, of course, already been a successful year with them wrapping up the league title in rapid time but the aim now is to finish the division unbeaten and to complete a domestic treble of trophies.
Do that, then, and there really can be only one place for the club to improve – in Europe.
Indeed, the Bhoys were not as successful as they would have liked in the Champions League this season and so the feeling is that Brendan Rodgers will need to bring in some extra places to really crack Europe.
Who comes in, of course, really remains to be seen but Rodgers has at least hinted at the potential business he could look to do – as quoted by The Express.
Rodgers said:
“It’ll probably be no more than two, in terms of what we need. It won’t be nine or 10.”
Quality, rather than quantity seems to be the aim for the Northern Irish manager when the window opens up for business, then.
