It has to be said, Liverpool are looking good this season and it’s more than pleasing our resident Reds fans here in the Transfer Tavern.
The Anfield side look like a force to be reckoned with again under Jurgen Klopp after a couple of seasons away from the upper echelons of the division and have already recorded a number of key and impressive victories this season.
They’ve beaten Chelsea, Arsenal and Leicester City as well as drawn away at Tottenham so far this season and are currently just two points off of the top of the table after the first eight games.
Klopp will be naturally pleased with what they’ve done this season but he’ll also feel that they can do more and he’ll be no doubt be looking at ways to improve the squad in January.
Our landlord reckons he’ll look for more attack minded players to make the Anfield side even more potent going forward – and he thinks Liverpool should target these two right wingers to help them do so…
Lucas Moura
We have seen with Sadio Mane what the Reds can do with a bit of pace up front, and Lucas Moura would be able to enhance that even further.
The Brazilian is absolutely rapid and would take the Liverpool front-line up another gear whilst he’d also demonstrate some pretty decent link-up play, you’d think, with compatriots Roberto Firmino and Philippe Coutinho in the team with him.
Arda Turan
Surely he’ll move soon?
The Turkish international had the world at his feet at Atletico Madrid and moved to Barcelona in the hope he could somehow further his career – but instead he’s seen it stall.
He gets to play when one of Messi, Suarez or Neymar are injured but that isn’t really enough for a player of his talent and Liverpool would certainly profit from signing him.
