Klopp simply must consider signing these 2 Germans in January

Jurgen Klopp’s influence at Liverpool seems to know no bounds right now and our local Reds fans here in the Transfer Tavern are loving every minute.

When he breezed into Anfield last year, he quickly set about restoring a feel-good factor that had long since departed under Brendan Rodgers and began to implement his high-energy pressing football.

Wind the clock forward to the present day and you find a completely restored Reds outfit looking like serious players in this most intriguing of title races.

The German has implemented those most typical characteristics of football in his country.

High work-rate combined with efficient use of it and a lightning quick attack that leaves many defences dumbfounded has propelled the Reds to very highest level in the league and many feel he is only just getting started.

With that in mind, perhaps looking back over to the Bundesliga market would be a good idea as he looks to further round out his squad.

Our landlord reckons he could be tempted to get a couple of Germans in January, too, to help the process along and is convinced these TWO would be perfect…

Jonathan Tah

Jonathan Tah

Tah is a quickly rising prospect over in Germany and has played for both Hamburg and now Bayer Leverkusen.

The young defender reads the game better than many older than him and he possesses a fair bit of athleticism to help him recover if he does make a mistake.

He’s thought highly of around Europe and the Reds would do well to get him into a defence that still has issues.

Max Meyer

Max Meyer

Meyer is another exciting young German – frightening isn’t it?

He’s an attacking midfielder that can carry the ball like very few can and would be up there in terms of Philippe Coutinho in terms of close control.

His club, Schalke, have endured a slow start to the Bundesliga season and an offer from the Reds to come and join their increasingly strong title bid could be too much to turn down.
