Koeman should drop these 2 Everton players against Bournemouth today

The Everton fans in the Transfer Tavern aren’t having a very good time at present…

Their form has taken a nosedive in recent weeks, with Ronald Koeman’s side suffering a number of big defeats already this season.

Considering how much money was spent last season, it’s clear that the Everton brass’ expectations are far higher than what we are seeing at present, and so it might be time for Koeman to get tough.

The current personnel clearly aren’t working, and so it’s time for him to make a few big calls, and that could mean that a few players are relegated to the bench this weekend, whilst a few others are brought in.

It’ll be bold from the Dutchman, but it must be done.

With that said, Koeman should drop these 2 Everton players against Bournemouth today…

 Ashley Williams

Ashley Williams has been a near constant since moving to Merseyside, but perhaps it’s time for that run to come to an end.

He really struggled in the Carabao Cup, and his form all season long has been far from spectacular.

His age may be catching up with him, or he could merely just be in a bad run of form, but whatever the case, it seems clear that a spell on the sidelines could be beneficial.

 Tom Davies

Tom Davies has, for the most part, done pretty well this season. He clearly isn’t the finished product, but his rise has been remarkable, and he has made the Everton fans in the Transfer Tavern forget about Ross Barkley.

However, another youngster, Dominic Calvert-Lewin has been very impressive during the limited opportunities that he has been afforded this season.

He definitely deserves a chance, but unfortunately, that could mean that Davies has to take a short leave of absence. It’s either Davies or Rooney, and Rooney’s become undroppable in this team.
