When Tottenham take on Wolves in the Premier League later today, one man they will have to be wary of is Adama Traore.
The last time the two teams did battle back in December, the 24-year-old was relentless, not giving the Spurs defenders a moment’s rest. He scored that day and was just an overall threat, which he has been all season long.
With an 8.5 match rating, Traore won Man of the Match on WhoScored despite his side losing 2-1. The winger finished the game with a 100% dribble success rate, completing all five of his attempted dribbles.
Traore also managed to get all three of his shots on target — no Spurs player managed more — and register one key pass. Indeed, all of this makes for grim reading for the poor sod who has to play at left-back for the north London club today.
So the message from Nuno Espirito Santo to his danger man is simple: more of the same. If the Portuguese coach can get just that from Traore, then Jose Mourinho’s side could be in for a long afternoon at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
