Elland Road will be a difficult place to travel tp for opposition fans this season. Leeds appointment of Marcelo Bielsa is one of the best the Championship has ever seen and now the fans are looking to the transfer market. The fans have been assessing their defensive options ahead of the new season as they’ve lost on Kyle Bartley to West Brom, however, most fans aren’t bothered.
Elsewhere in the Championship, it’s West Brom for Kyle Bartley…https://t.co/KgkJGxtOVi

West Bromwich Albion are most likely going to be one of the clubs that will be fighting at the top of the Championship come to the end of the season and with Darren Moore in charge, there’s every chance that The Baggies can win the league. However, Bielsa and co will also be up there and they’ll be hoping to prove that they don’t need Bartley to achieve success in the division.
The 27-year-old defender spent the 2016/17 on-loan with The Whites and after a strong season where he partnered up with Pontus Jansson it looked like the club would be trying to sign Bartley on a permanent deal from Swansea. An offer never materialised though and now the fans have been looking at other options as Bartley has been announced at The Hawthorns.
You can see what the Leeds fans on Twitter make of the Bartley news:
I'd much rather get Carter-Vickers on loan. If we're playing 3 CB's at the back we need a couple either side of Pontus who are good at playing the ball and agile. Not just 3 rocks. Let Pontus through his body about and use his strength.

Do people forget we blew the play offs with 8 games to go when he was here ? At 27 he is a bit of a journey man , injury plagued and inconsistent. 1 decent season doesn’t make him a must buy , Adam Flint would have been better or Huth from Foxes

Are you trying to wind up the fans again, Phil?
If Bielsa didn’t fancy Bartley, then that’s good enough for me. #lufc— Ivor Lloyd (@GumZappersLtd) 16 July 2018
Oh well he had an ok loan spell with us and hasn’t played for a season don’t know why we were clutching at straws to bring him back #lufc #mot

Would have been good but I’m sure they must be looking at someone better … we need to get a strong defender to accompany PJ and a TOP CLASS PROVEN GOALSCORER SOON

So Phil, with the failure to get Bartley, are we still in the hunt for a quality CB?

There are always going to be some fans that disagree with the decision not to sign Bartley, but mostly they’re in agreement that better options are out there.
