A lot of Leeds fans on Twitter have been panicking over the start of the Championship season already and it’s not even mid-July. With Marcelo Bielsa in charge, it looks like the club will be deploying a three-at-the-back system and an article in The Yorkshire Evening Post has shown how that might look for The Whites.

Leeds have got the best manager in the Championship as they head into the new season, but unfortunately, they haven’t quite got the squad to match. Most supporters are confident that Bielsa can improve the current crop of players to the point where they can challenge for the Championship title, although it might take a while for the Argentine to get his side playing his style effectively.
The main issues so far have been centred around who will start at the back. Some fans have tipped Luke Ayling to start alongside Pontus Jansson and Liam Cooper in a Bielsa-style back-three whilst others have claimed that Gaetano Berardi will be given a chance there. In the past, Bielsa has been known to experiment with a midfielder at centre-back to improve the passing from the back, although it’s hard to see who he might trust with that job in the current Leeds United squad.

Only time will tell if the Leeds fans are in a position to worry, although if things don’t improve soon the fan base won’t be able to tolerate much more of this.
