Leeds fans on Twitter gutted with Barry Douglas’ injury layoff

Leeds will be hosting Brentford this weekend in what promises to be one of the most entertaining games in the Championship so far. However, Leeds will be set to face the clash without one of their star players as Barry Douglas is ruled out with the muscle injury he suffered on Tuesday against Hull City.

Marcelo Bielsa confirmed that Douglas would be out for the Brentford clash in his press conference yesterday and his comments have sent the Whites into meltdown as they fear facing Brentford without their Scottish wizard at left-back could end badly for them. Douglas has already provided three assists this season and his creativity going forward and defensive solidity at the back will be sorely missed when Brentford arrive at Elland Road.

With a bit of luck, Douglas will be back after the international break and Bielsa will be keen to see the 29-year-old come back with a bang if he is to make his return against Blackburn at Ewood Park on the 20th October. Douglas was key to Wolves promotion last season and he’ll be keen to make it two Championship winners’ medals in two years as The Whites, led by Bielsa, march on towards a successful season.
