Leeds fans on Twitter questioning the future of Jansson

Twitter is the prime place for Leeds fans to moan about their latest problems at the club and today is no different. The fans aren’t sure why Pontus Jansson isn’t back in training with the first-team, despite only having ended his World Cup campaign ten days ago after Sweden lost to England in the quarter-finals.

Pontus Jansson has proven over the last two seasons that he’s one of the best defenders in the Championship and it would be criminal if the Whites lost him on the cheap. The experienced international has proven that he can carry himself as a leader on and off the pitch as he’s dragged the club through games single-handedly and stood up for himself and his teammates in the past when it’s been required of him.

Unfortunately, he plays for Leeds, who have one of the most fickle fan bases going and just ten days after the Swede played his last World Cup match of the tournament they’re questioning his future at the club as he’s not back. It’s more than normal for international stars to have up to three weeks off after a tournament before returning to their club sides and it just seems that the Whites are a bit paranoid today as they panic over the future of Jansson.
