Leeds fans react to Bielsa’s claim that Alisoki will play as a winger vs Nottingham Forest

Leeds United are set to face Nottingham Forest at Elland Road on Saturday evening in a fixture which sees two of the favourites to clinch promotion go head-to-head at Elland Road.

The Whites may well be feeling a renewed sense of optimism ahead of the clash, but the fact their opponents have only lost 1 of their 7 away league fixtures this season suggests that they will need to be at their very best to secure three vital points.

Marcelo Bielsa delivered his pre-match press conference on Friday afternoon ahead of the fixture, and he revealed that Ezjan Alioski is likely to return to left-wing tomorrow after deputising for the injured Barry Douglas at left-back in recent weeks.

Alisoki is a left-winger by trade but his apparent inability to remain onside in a more advanced role combined with his impressive performances in defence have forced supporters to question where he fits into Bielsa’s system.

In response to Bielsa’s claim, the Leeds fans urged Bielsa to keep the Macedonia international at full-back, whilst one supporter has inferred that Samu Saiz may be dropped to facilitate the tactical switch.
