More often than not, Ezgjan Alioski is one of the main whipping boys amongst the Leeds fans. The supporters seem to love jumping on the Macedonian winger’s back whenever possible, however, it simply wasn’t possible yesterday as the 26-year-old was in fine form during the Whites 3-2 comeback win at Villa Park.

Whilst it’s true that you can sometimes fault Alioski’s end product and decision making, the 26-year-old has the heart of a winner and his work rate is something that never comes up for debate and his display yesterday showed why. From the first minute up until the last, the winger showed what he was all about and put in a huge shift at both ends of the pitch, helping in both defence and attack.
The next step for Alioski will be to add some more end product to his game to really shut the haters up, but for now, they’re more than happy to laud him for his engine as it was on full display a Villa Park. If Alisoki can perform the way he did yesterday every week then it will give the Whites a pretty good chance of maintaining top spot for the rest of the season, although at the moment it will just be about remaining calm and taking things one game at a time.

The Whites couldn’t get enough of Alioski yesterday and will be keen for him to keep that level of performance for their upcoming games against Blackburn and Hull before the new year.
