Leeds United are reportedly among the clubs ‘monitoring’ Benfica striker Goncalo Ramos, according to 90min.

A product of the youth system at Benfica, 21-year-old Ramos has enjoyed an impressive rise through the ranks in Portugal, directly contributing to 36 goals in just 55 appearances for the youth sides.

The prolific Portugal youth international has since scored 17 times in 62 outings for the first team and has become the main centre-forward option for the Portuguese giants following the departure of Darwin Nunez to Liverpool.

As per 90min, Leeds, Crystal Palace, Everton, West Ham and Wolves are all ‘monitoring’ the 18-cap Under 21 starlet.

It’s claimed that Nottingham Forest and Newcastle have both ‘held talks’ regarding a deal whilst Ligue 1 powerhouses Paris Saint-Germain are ‘also keen’ on Ramos.

The report states that manager Roger Schmidt is yet to be ‘fully convinced’ that the man who was likened to Liverpool icon Roberto Firmino by football talent scout Jacek Kulig can replace Nunez and Benfica could be looking for bids in the region of £30million.
