Leeds United fans in the Transfer Tavern endured a dramatic affair with Norwich City yesterday, after the Peacocks battled back from 3-0 down to secure a 3-3 draw.
However, a point was not enough to keep Leeds’ faint play-off hopes alive and the Yorkshire giants will now have to prepare for another season in the Championship- but they could have to do it without manager Garry Monk.
The Sun sensationally states Leeds co-owner Andrea Radrizzani is set to make major backroom changes this summer, having appointed Spaniard Ivan Bravo as a special advisor and significant additions will be made to the club’s staff.
Monk has earned praise for steadying Leeds’ ship this season and pushing towards promotion but his failure to secure a top-six finish could cost the former Swansea City boss, although the fans in the bar are disgusted he could be pushed out.
Our landlord is similarly confused by the reports as he feels Leeds’ best chances of promotion will come with Monk in charge and believes axing him now would be a terrible decision.
Would Leeds be making a mistake axing Monk? Let us know in the comments below!
