Our Leeds fans here in the Transfer Tavern are trying to remain upbeat this season as it has been a campaign of progress – regardless of where they finish in the league.
Of course, they had hoped that the club were going to finish inside the play-offs and get into the Premier League but it now appears as though they are going to miss out – unless there is a huge swing in the final two games.
Even so, Garry Monk and his men have done a good job this year and there now needs to be considerable work done in the summer transfer window to ensure they build and do get into the play-offs at least next season.
And, according to The Mirror, they are going to try and seal a surprising move for Brighton’s David Stockdale.
The Seagulls goalkeeper has been in fine form this season and is part of the reason that the club have earned promotion this year.
His contract runs out in the summer, though, and if Brighton, for whatever reason, decide not to extend his deal, Leeds could profit.
