Leeds United were humbled in a 4-1 defeat at the hands of promotional hopefuls West Bromwich Albion on Saturday.
The result came as a bit of a surprise to fans who had seen the West Yorkshire side climb back towards the top of the table following their return to form.
Fingers are, of course, being pointed in all directions. And unfortunately, it seems like it’s young stopper Bailey Peacock-Farrell’s turn to take on the wrath of disgruntled fans this time around.
Until now Peacock-Farrell has floated through the season largely untouched by critics – he’s young, inexperienced, and has been thrust into an incredibly difficult position whereby as the keeper of a title contending side.
It’s not too long ago that the lad was playing in the sixth-tier of English football for York City, remember.
Saturday certainly wasn’t to be his day, and a number of errors, including a miscalculated dive for Matt Phillips 25-yard effort, ultimately led to West Brom’s goals.

What’s the crack with Blackman Phil? So highly rated by Chelsea did well at the blades last season? BPF has cost us 7-8 goals now. His distribution has been very good but I dread to think what could of happened if we didn’t have the majority of possession every game.
