Leeds United could have a big January transfer window ahead of them, and reports are suggesting they are set to reignite their interest in Manchester United winger Daniel James.
Daniel James transfer update
Manchester United managed to swoop in for the Welshman during the summer of 2019, when Leeds had looked nailed on to sign him in January of that year.
Bielsa’s side have maintained an interest in the attacker, most recently in the summer transfer window. However, they were unable to acquire him for the second time. According to The Telegraph, Director of Football Victor Orta could make another attempt to sign James from Manchester United during the next January transfer window.
Would this be a good signing for Leeds?
James made a decent start to his life as a Manchester United and Premier League player last season as he managed three Premier League goals in his first four games (Transfermarkt). The fact that Orta has failed numerous times to sign him and keeps coming back is a sign of his potential, despite his form dipping since that hot start.
Therefore, a move to Leeds, managed by a great coach in Bielsa, could benefit all parties. He could rekindle his form and perhaps ease some of the pressure that comes with playing at Old Trafford for an enormous global fan base.
