Leeds United have made an opening €30m (£25.7m) offer for Club Brugge forward Charles De Ketelaere, according to journalist Alexandre Braeckman.

The Lowdown: Sinisterra to join

The Whites have been extremely busy this summer and appear to be closing in on Feyenoord attacker Luis Sinisterra. The Colombian winger appears to be one step away from an Elland Road move worth an initial €25m (£21.4m).

The 23-year-old is primarily a left-winger but can play anywhere in attack, and it looks as if De Ketelaere is still wanted in Yorkshire despite the pending move for Sinisterra.

The Latest: De Ketelaere offer

Belgian journalist Braeckman has been on top of the transfer saga involving Leeds and De Ketelaere in recent weeks.

He revealed ‘confirmation of Leeds' offer’ on Tuesday evening worth an initial €30m (£25.7m) plus bonuses. However, Braeckman added that De Ketelaere wants to play in the Champions League, meaning AC Milan ‘will have a clear advantage if they find common ground’ with Brugge.

The Verdict: Ambitious

Leeds could well be fighting a losing battle here, especially with Braeckman previously claiming that De Ketelaere has already said no to the Yorkshire club after initial contact.

However, the club clearly think there’s a chance of a move to Elland Road move and are willing to continue their summer spending spree with another big-money move.

De Ketelaere could prove to be the final piece of the jigsaw with Leeds viewing him as an inside forward or a secondary forward to support Patrick Bamford, so it’ll be one to watch with an offer now made.
