Leeds United midfielder Mateusz Klich is wanted abroad, with a number of clubs contacting the player’s agent, TEAMtalk report.

The Lowdown: Lack of game time

Klich remained at Elland Road over the summer but has fallen down the pecking order under Jesse Marsch this season. The 32-year-old is yet to make a Premier League start and missed out on a place in Poland’s World Cup squad as a result.

The central midfielder is one of a number of Whites players out of contract in the next two years, and it looks as if he may depart in the New Year.

The Latest: Transfer update

TEAMtalk reporter James Marshment provided an update regarding Klich’s future on Tuesday. He revealed that teams in France, Germany and Italy are keen on Klich, with some making contact with the player’s agent.

The report adds that some of the enquiries have been over a possible loan deal, however, Marsch still wants the player to stay in Yorkshire for the second half of the season.

The Verdict: Unfair?

Klich has been a brilliant servant at Elland Road, so if he wants to head out in January to play regular first-team football, we feel as if he should be allowed to do so.

Journalist Dean Jones believes the player is ‘annoyed’ at this moment in time, with Klich featuring in just 188 minutes of top-flight action.

He put side before self by staying at the club over the summer, a decision which you could argue cost him a place in Qatar, so if there is interest, it could be the right call for Leeds to allow Klich to move on and look to promote youngsters like Darko Gyabi in his place.
