Leeds United youngster Cody Drameh is likely to leave the club during the January transfer window, according to a new update from journalist Pete O'Rourke.

The Lowdown: Drameh not earning minutes

The 21-year-old has been an impressive young prospect at Elland Road for a number of years now, earning seven appearances for the first team overall.

Drameh will have hoped to have been playing more at this point, however, as he has been limited to just one Premier League game this season.

It has led to strong speculation surrounding his future at Leeds and it does look as though his time at the club is reaching its natural conclusion.

The Latest: January exit on the cards

Speaking to Give Me Sport, O'Rourke claimed that Drameh looks set to leave for good next month, in what he considers a 'big blow':

"All the sounds coming out from Leeds and from his camp do seem to suggest that Cody Drameh will move on from Leeds United [in January], which would be a big blow for the club."

The Verdict: Shame

It is wholly understandable why Drameh would feel that now is the right time to move on, considering he isn't earning much playing time under Jesse Marsch.

At 21, he will feel that he needs to be featuring week in, week out for a team, in order to mature as a player and not grow stagnant during a key point in his career.

It is a shame to see Drameh potentially move on, though, and it would have been nice to see him stay put and eventually become a regular well into the future.
