Leeds United: Phil Hay comments on shock Meslier absence

It was a shock for everyone to see Illan Meslier not even in the match day squad for Leeds United against Brighton, and his latest Instagram post has been tweeted out by Phil Hay and it seems to suggest why he was unable to feature.
The latest on Meslier
The journalist for The Athletic showed the story from the goalkeeper, in which the Frenchman said: “Sorry to miss today’s (match), behind you all the way boys. Thank you to the fans for all the support, I’m recovering well. Please stay safe. See you soon”
Phil Hay also said: “No Meslier. Waiting for Leeds to confirm if it’s Covid-related.”
This is a blow for Leeds
If it is Covid, this means that the young goalkeeper could potentially miss the next couple of games, not just the one against Brighton and Hove Albion, and this is a big blow for the club.
Marcelo Bielsa clearly sees Meslier as his number one choice and he has had a fairly decent season, managing to make 67 saves and keep six clean sheets (Premier League).
It is especially worrying as Kiko Casilla, who came in to replace Meslier in the match against Brighton, has received a lot of criticism since joining the club, most recently in the shock FA Cup defeat to Crawley.
