Leeds United are thoroughly enjoying life back in the Premier League and are looking to be more than just a side battling to stay in the division, as Phil Hay has reported that there could be a fair few changes in the summer.
Hay’s exciting transfer report
The journalist for The Athletic was discussing the club when he tweeted: “Leeds could make up to five signings this summer and for the first time they’ll move on from a small section of the Championship old guard.”
Very exciting for Leeds
The Whites are currently tenth in the division, (SofaScore) and there is still 13 games left to play. They are also only five points from sixth and to do this with mostly the same squad who came up from the Championship is a remarkable achievement and shows how good of a structure the club have with Marcelo Bielsa at the helm.
What will no doubt excite supporters is the six words from Hay which say they ‘could make up to five signings’ – it shows that the club are constantly planning to build even further, not resting on their laurels while they sit pretty in mid-table.
Leeds look to have a great set up currently from top to bottom – with more investment from the 49ers’ group recently secured – and it is definitely very exciting for all associated with the club.
Some of the players they signed in the summer, like Raphinha, have excelled massively and therefore if the club can bring in five players to replace some of the squad or to add to it, then it will be an exciting campaign for Leeds next season and there is no reason to not to aim for a top ten finish.
