Leeds United should boost their playoff push with a sensational loan move for this Arsenal man

Leeds United’s playoff hopes appear to be fading by the week in the Championship, with a run of poor form seeing Thomas Christiansen’s men drift away from contention for the top six over the last few weekends.

The Whites will be hoping to pick one or two new players up as the January window draws to a close in the coming days, and the Elland Road faithful will no doubt be eagerly awaiting news of any big name signings arriving in West Yorkshire.

Here in the Tavern, our landlord still thinks Leeds are a huge draw, and he thinks they should use this to their advantage to go out and make a sensational loan move for Arsenal wide-man Alex Iwobi.

The Gunners forward has been in and out of the team this season, but the recent transfer involving Alexis Sanchez leaves him just as far down the pecking order, despite the Chilean moving on to pastures new at Old Trafford.

Iwobi could well be one of those player who really comes to the fore following a loan move, and much like when teammate Danny Welbeck was sensational for Sunderland during a similar spell, Iwobi could have the exact same sort of impact at Elland Road.

If Leeds can pull off what will be a monumentous signing for the club, then their playoff push would be seriously strengthened, while Arsenal and Iwobi would be safe in the knowledge that the forward was getting plenty of game time and experience under his belt.

Leeds fans, what do you think? Good signing? Let us know!
