Phil Hay has provided an update on Leeds United and how they are planning to utilise the January transfer window.
The latest on Leeds
The journalist for The Athletic tweeted: “Leeds United are constantly monitoring the transfer market but after £100m of investment in the summer, they expect a quiet January.”
“They expect a quiet January”
Marcelo Bielsa has not done a lot of business in the January transfer windows whilst at Leeds. Therefore, Hay’s hint that “they expect a quiet January” shouldn’t be something that surprises or frustrates supporters.
The summer signings that the manager brought in, like Robin Koch, Raphinha and Rodrigo, are all key players in the squad, and it shows that the business they did went well and there is not a massive need for more reinforcements.
The club sit 14th, and the more time that Bielsa has with these players, the more they will improve, so it is understandable that he wants to keep faith in his current squad who have done very well for him so far this season.
