Reported Leeds United target Patrick van Aanholt is wanted by Galatasaray this summer, acting as a possible blow to the Whites.
The Whites continue to be linked with a host of players ahead of the summer transfer window, with plenty of business potentially on the cards at Elland Road.
Marcelo Bielsa will know that he has to keep improving his squad, in order for his side not to stand still and fail to kick on in the Premier League in 2021/22.
Van Aanholt wanted by Galatasaray
According to Sabah Spor [via Sport Witness], however, Galatasaray are keen on acquiring the 13-time capped Netherlands international’s services this summer, seeing him as the ‘first name’ on their list of targets and their move has reached ‘the final stage’.
Van Aanholt, who earns £55,000 per week at Palace, has been offered a three-year deal by the Turkish giants, so Leeds may need to act fast to match that and tempt him to Yorkshire.
Transfer Tavern take
Failing to sign Van Aanholt would be an undoubted blow for the Whites, with the 29-year-old possessing a huge amount of Premier League experience.
While grabbing a younger talent like Perraud to replace Alioski this summer could be more exciting for fans, we feel an experienced top-flight addition like van Aanholt would be the better choice.
In other news, one attacking star has refused to rule out a summer move to Leeds – find out who it is here.
