With just under 10 days remaining in the domestic transfer window, Leeds could be set to lose a talented youngster, albeit for the remainder of the season on a loan exit.
With the likelihood of minimal first team football with the Whites in the Premier League due to the options at Bielsa’s disposal, Gotts is now the subject of offers from three Football League clubs.
Who is interested in Robbie Gotts?
Football Insider reported that Huddersfield Town, Swindon Town and Doncaster Rovers have all held talks with Leeds over a season-long loan for the 20-year-old.
With the player and the club now set to choose a destination ahead of the 16 October domestic deadline, Huddersfield could be the preferred destination considering former Leeds coach Carlos Corberan is now in charge of the Terriers.
That being said, the report added that League One duo Swindon and Doncaster could offer the youngster ample playing time over the next 10-12 months.
Does Gotts have a future at Elland Road?
Had Leeds not gained promotion to the Premier League, Gotts could have been handed some further first team football in England’s second tier.
Top-flight football is a little premature for the youngster, though, especially given that he has only made one Championship appearance to date.
A loan move away could see the young defender gain valuable playing time and experience, but whether he returns to make a claim for a starting place in Bielsa’s team next season remains to be seen.
