West Ham fans have been in high spirits in the Transfer Tavern during the international break after seeing their side move out of the Premier League’s bottom three last time out.

Slaven Bilic’s men found themselves in the relegation zone ahead of their crucial encounter with Swansea City, but a Diafra Sakho strike in the 90th minute secured a vital 1-0 success for the East London outfit, and thus moved them up to 15th in the table.

Nonetheless, our resident Hammers supporters haven’t been hugely impressed with their side given they’ve won just two of their seven league games thus far, with scoring goals seeming to be a problem for the club, having bagged just seven so far in the Premier League.

Yet it appears that manager Bilic and the club’s hierarchy are already on the case, as recent reports have linked them with a move for Anderlecht striker Lukasz Teodorczyk.

The 26-year-old scored 30 goals for the Belgian giants last season to help them win the domestic league title and indeed reach the last eight of the Europa League, thus securing a permanent move to the club back in March of this year.

And reports suggest that West Ham are interested in bringing the £11.25 million-rated ace (as per Transfermarkt) to the London Stadium, and as such here is what their lethal frontline could look like should the Polish star make the move to East London…

Michail Antonio

Michail Antonio was one of West Ham’s best players last season, netting nine goals and laying on five assists to help Bilic’s side to 11th place in the Premier League.

His pace, directness, and trickery combine to make the Englishman a difficult winger to defend against at top-flight level, and although he has yet to ignite this season, you sense it’s just a matter of time before he does.

The 27-year-old is becoming an increasingly important player for the Hammers, and will again be key in their quest to climb the table this time round.

Marko Arnautovic

Summer signing Marko Arnautovic didn’t endear himself to the West Ham faithful with a red card in just his second appearance for the club, and wasn’t included in their most recent clash against Swansea City either.

However, the Austria international proved during his time at Stoke City that he can create a piece of magic off the cuff, and has showed signs of improvement at the London Stadium recently with two assists against Bolton Wanderers in the Carabao Cup last month.

Ultimately, Arnautovic has been disappointing so far at the East London outfit, but his quality is evident, and it’s surely just a matter of time before he hits his stride for the Hammers.

Lukasz Teodorczyk

Anderlecht forward Lukasz Teodorczyk was one of the form strikers in European football last season, having scored 30 goals for the Belgian giants in their run to the domestic league title, as well as the quarter finals of the Europa League.

The Poland international made a permanent move to the club back in March after making great strides there in his loan spell earlier in the campaign, and that deal made it difficult for Liverpool to follow-through with their reported interest over the summer.

And although Teodorczyk hasn’t made the best of starts to this term, he’s clearly got huge ability in front of goal, but also has the all round striking qualities to complement the rest of West Ham’s attack, and thus make them a much stronger outfit.

Javier Hernandez

Javier Hernandez made the surprise move from Bayer Leverkusen to West Ham during the summer, and has began life reasonably well with three goals in seven Premier League games for the Hammers.

However, Bilic does appear to be struggling with regard to how to get the best out of Mexico’s all time leading goal-scorer, what with the 29-year-old seemingly needing to play upfront alongside someone to play to his strengths.

Give Hernandez a chance in the box and he will probably score, but it’s getting him those opportunities which is proving troubling for the Hammers, but playing alongside someone strong like Teodorczyk, who also has slightly more technical ability than Andy Carroll, could get the best out of the 29-year-old.
