Liverpool fans here in the Transfer Tavern are looking forward to the 2017/18 campaign, with Champions League football returning to Anfield and Jurgen Klopp getting his team playing some decent stuff on the whole.
The Reds will be hoping to use the summer transfer window and their new top four status to attract some new star names to Merseyside, and our landlord thinks that Klopp is not too far away from having a squad capable of challenging on all fronts.
This week, the Reds fans have been getting down to the nitty gritty of transfer business with our landlord, and one player he thinks can come in and add another dimension to the Liverpool squad is Spanish midfielder, Koke.
The Atletico Madrid man has built a reputation as one of the finest midfielders in La Liga over the last few seasons, and this form will not have gone unnoticed across Europe.
Koke is a class act though, and though he is loyal to Madrid, the chance to test himself in the Premier League could prove too tempting if Liverpool made a move.
He can play deep, get forward, and really drive a team on from central midfield. Alongside someone like Jordan Henderson, who would do the donkey work for him, Koke could really flourish and support Philippe Coutinho with flair and creativity from the midfield next term.
