Our Liverpool fans here in the Transfer Tavern are keen to see a draw in the Manchester Derby tonight as they look for their top four chances to be given a boost.
Of course, they wouldn’t be in this position had they beaten Crystal Palace at the weekend but that was not the case and so now the Reds are going to be just as keen in watching this one as our City and United punters.
For sure, the top four race is looking the most closely fought battle in the league now and whoever gets into the Champions League will surely be able to bring in some top players.
It appears, though, that the Reds will not be getting Douglas Costa in after his personal coach revealed that the Brazilian is happy at Bayern Munich.
Speaking to Sport1 and as quoted by The Metro, when asked if Costa could be on his way, Lucas Cruel said:
“Douglas will not go to Liverpool, he prefers to stay at Bayern Munich.
“It’s a good life here.”
Cruel by name and, it appears, cruel by nature for the Reds who want to see players like Costa arriving at Anfield in the summer.
