Patricio, 27, is being eyed up as potential competition for current number one Simon Mignolet, with Brendan Rodgers’ side set to line up a summer bid.
The 6ft 3 goalkeeper has a wealth of experience of playing football, having amassed over 220 appearances for Portuguese side Sporting CP.
The goalkeeper has been an ever-present figure in the Portugal international team, having made appearances for the Portugal under-16 team all the way up to the senior side.
Liverpool fans here inside the Football Transfer Tavern are quite excited about signing Patricio, who is certainly a goalkeeper who comes with pedigree. But, a few Reds fans here inside the tavern feel that moving to the Premier League could be too much of a step up for the goalkeeper.
