Liverpool fans agree with Trent Alexander-Arnold’s comments on James Milner

For all of Liverpool’s big money signings over the last few years, players that were brought into the squad cheaply, or indeed, for nothing, have had just as big of an impact as of late.

Jurgen Klopp has never been one to place much value on monetary cost, instead choosing to give chances to players that deserve them based on what they do with the ball at their feet.

Two such examples are Trent Alexander-Arnold and James Milner. Alexander-Arnold has forced his way into the Liverpool first team thanks to his fantastic quality on the pitch, whilst James Milner’s experience and recent burst of form has returned him to prominence.

Neither player cost Liverpool a penny, with Alexander-Arnold an academy graduate and James Milner signed on a free. Despite this though, they’ve both been so impressive this season and last season, too.

James Milner, in particular, has been incredible to watch, given that he’s a player in the twilight of his career. Alexander-Arnold, in fact, is apparently using him as inspiration, at least according to a recent interview with the young defender.
