Liverpool: Fans applaud Andy Robertson’s comments after Brighton defeat

Many Liverpool fans were delighted with left-back Andy Robertson following his side’s 1-0 defeat to Brighton on Wednesday night.

The 26-year-old was involved in what was a frustrating night for the Reds, with the Seagulls’ Steven Alzate getting the only goal of the game in what was a well-deserved win for the visitors.

Speaking to Sky Sports after the full-time whistle, the Scotsman wrote off any talk that his side are in a title race and insisted that Liverpool needed to be far more consistent.

Robertson received a match rating of just 6.36 as his team managed just one shot on target throughout the 90 minutes, with Manchester City next up for them on Sunday, which is teeing up to be a huge game for both teams – perhaps for different reasons based on Robertson’s admission.
