Liverpool fans are loving Simon Mignolet’s post after Bayern Munich wn

Liverpool’s game with Bayern Munich was expected to be a tough one for the Reds, but who could have predicted what was to come? By the time the final whistle was blown, it was a relatively simple game for Liverpool – who would have expected Bayern Munich to offer their biggest test of the season.

In reality, Bayern were outclassed by Jurgen Klopp’s men, and the Reds were good value for their win.

Naturally, much of the praise following the game should go to players like Sadio Mane, who was instrumental in the win, but a number of Liverpool fans online have been heaping praise upon a player that didn’t even feature.

Simon Mignolet has endured a tough season at Liverpool, having lost his place in the team to Alisson, yet throughout the campaign, he’s held himself with grace and decorum. Accepting the manager’s decision goes a long way to earning a rapport with fans, and Mignolet has certainly done that.

Following the win on Wednesday, Mignolet took to Twitter to celebrate by posting an image of Virgil van Dijk, with the classy Belgian clearly delighted with the game despite his lack of minutes.

This has given fans an opportunity to praise the Belgian, as you can see below. They’re loving his attitude. It would be easy for him to sulk and moan about not playing, but he’s just happy that his team is doing well…
