Liverpool: Fans disagree with Graeme Souness’ judgment on Sergio Aguero

Liverpool fans have been disagreeing with Sky Sports pundit Graeme Souness after he suggested that Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero would get into Jurgen Klopp’s side.

The former Reds midfielder and manager reflected on Sergio Aguero’s hat-trick during the Citizens’ 6-1 thrashing of Aston Villa on Sunday, which made him the Premier League’s record overseas scorer with 177 goals, as per Football365. Despite City’s successes, they remain 14 points behind the Reds in the Premier League table as they remain unbeaten in what has been a faultless campaign from Jurgen Klopp’s side. Quoted by the Liverpool Echo, Souness told Sky Sports that he does not think there is a team in the world that Aguero would not get in.

The Kop faithful stuck up for their team and suggested that Roberto Firmino would not be subsidised for the Argentinian striker, due to the unique role that he plays in the German tactician’s team. The 28-year-old has scored seven goals in 21 Premier League games this season (as per TransferMarkt), which typically is not more than his attacking comrades in Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane. However, the importance of the Brazilian to the squad is profound, as goalkeeper Alisson Becker echoed.
