Liverpool: Fans show doubt in Thiago transfer following recent update

Liverpool fans have experienced a rollercoaster of emotions when it comes to their interest in Thiago Alcantara.

The Reds are extremely keen on signing the Bayern Munich midfielder, however, talks seem to have stagnated between the two teams.

SportBild reporter Christian Falk has stated Thiago is still very much set on joining the Merseyside outfit despite the fact the Spaniard helped his current side lift their sixth Champions League trophy on Sunday, and it is down to Liverpool to pay the fee to get him (relayed via @LFCTransferRoom).

Liverpool have had their name thrown into the mix amid talks over the future of the likes of Kai Havertz and Jadon Sancho. However, due to the financial impact of coronavirus, the Reds have been unable to entertain any substantial transfer fees.

Now, fans are fearing their talks with Thiago are heading down the same road. One supporter is worried the club will miss out on the 29-year-old in the same manner they did with Timo Werner. They have branded this situation as ‘Timo part 2’ whilst another fan has urged the club to ‘pay up’ and sign the 31-goal Bayern Munich man.

How has this deal not been concluded yet. 29 years old, still in his prime, and the best player on the field in the final by a country mile, I cant see a lot of teams beating us with him in our midfield.
