Liverpool fans have been lauding manager Jurgen Klopp as the best manager in the world after his achievements since arriving on Merseyside.
The German tactician was appointed in 2015 and succeeded Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers after he was given his marching orders. Since then, he has managed to get the Reds to three European finals, winning the Champions League in Madrid. He also accumulated an astonishing 97 points without winning the Premier League last season.
Klopp is now on the verge of delivering the club’s first title in 30 years, as he promised in his first interview when he said he wanted to win the league within the initial four seasons he had signed for. In 247 matches in charge of the Merseyside club, he has racked a points-per-game figure of 2.08, which works out as 153 victories, 55 draws and just 39 defeats, as per TransferMarkt. For some supporters, Klopp is the best head coach on the planet and they made that known on social media, with one fan stating that he “always has been”.
