Liverpool: Fans loved the first team’s birthday ritual in training

Liverpool fans have heaped praise on manager Jurgen Klopp after what he did with his team during first-team training.

The German tactician welcomed the arrival of his new signing Takumi Minamino to his first training session after his contract started on New Year’s Day. This followed on from the announcement of his £7.25m deal from RB Salzburg.

The spirit is high in the Reds’ camp as they have picked up three trophies since May, including the Champions League, and sit 13 points clear of Leicester City at the top of the Premier League.

This was illustrated after the latest episode of LFCTV’s Inside Training, which substantiated that fact.

Klopp was celebrating the birthday of the club’s second assistant coach Peter Krawietz and encouraged the players and staff to collectively sing ‘Happy Birthday’ in 12 different languages.

Supporters loved what they saw in the footage and made their feelings clear on social media. One fan said that Klopp is a “superhero without a cape”, while another stated that the Reds are the “greatest football club in the world”.
