As you can expect, some top-level pros and coaches in football have no issue with forking out £8,000, and Jurgen Klopp is obviously one of them. The German manager accepted his FA charge for his celebrations at Divock Origi’s Merseyside derby winner and has agreed to pay the £8,000 fee for his actions, which the Reds are labelling as superb business from the ex-Dortmund man.

Klopp is famed for wearing his heart on his sleeve and there can’t have been many football fans who were surprised to see him sprinting onto the pitch to hug his goalkeeper in the aftermath of Origi’s goal downing Everton. It was clear straight away that he’d have to pay some sort of fine and the supporters are laughing now that they know the fee was just £8,000, especially seeing as Klopp will earn much more than that in a single week.
Given the proportion of what the fine will be to what Klopp earns, the supporters love the fact that he’s just taken it in his stride and would not be against seeing him do exactly the same thing again if they can grab another late winner at some point this season. The manager has such a special link with the fans that they would probably even crowdfund his fine if they had to, although paying the money will be no issues for Klopp.

The Reds had no issues with Klopp’s celebration and would happily pay much more than the four-figure sum to see him do it all over again.
