Liverpool were able to bounce back from their 2-0 Champions League defeat to Red Star Belgrade after they beat Fulham by the same score at Anfield on Sunday.
Mohamed Salah and Xherdan Shaqiri both managed to get their names on the scoresheet on the day in an overall team performance manager Jurgen Klopp would have been pleased with, or at least when compared to his side’s recent display in Serbia.
As well as threatening from the front, Liverpool also looked sturdy at the back with left-back Andrew Robertson putting in another solid shift.
The 24-year-old has slowly become a revelation at Anfield since arriving from Hull City last summer and has only gone from strength to strength under Klopp’s tutelage.
