Liverpool: Fans delighted as Harry Wilson scores first Cardiff goal

Plenty of Liverpool fans offered their congratulations to the Reds’ on-loan winger Harry Wilson after scoring his first goal for his new club Cardiff City last night.

The 23-year-old recently made the switch to south Wales on another season-long loan following a spell with Bournemouth during the 2019/20 campaign, when he was unable to help them retain their Premier League status.

Wilson has become something of a free-kick specialist over the years, scoring memorable strikes for the Cherries and, most notably, for Derby County at Old Trafford against the Reds’ arch-rivals Manchester United.

These two strikes have contributed to his 34 goals at senior level (TransferMarkt) but the Welshman still finds himself locked out of Jurgen Klopp’s plans.

Understandably, many Liverpool supporters were quick to applaud Wilson after his goal last night as his side drew 1-1 with Bournemouth at the Cardiff City Stadium.
