Some Liverpool fans refused to believe rumours which suggested Barcelona star Lionel Messi would consider a move to Anfield in the future.
The six-time Ballon d’Or winner is widely considered as the best footballer in the world and has spent the entirety of his career at the Nou Camp, with no obvious indications that he wants to leave the club. However, a football advisor and agent claimed that the Reds could provide Messi one last challenge before retirement.
As per the Daily Star, ‘football advisor and agent’ Francis Nkwain told ‘On the Whistle’ podcast that Jurgen Klopp’s side are the kind of team that if Messi was to leave Barcelona, Anfield and the Premier League would be the ideal destination. Supporters refused to believe his comments and made their feelings clear on social media. One fan said that he refused to believe that someone as talented as the Argentina international would choose to move to Merseyside.
