Liverpool fans have been reacting to reports that Xherdan Shaqiri’s exit talks have been quashed, Paul Joyce revealed.
The Reds were approached from Roma and Sevilla respectively to take the Switzerland international on loan until the end of the season, but will not let him leave as they close in on the Premier League title. Shaqiri joined the club at the beginning of last season after his £13m release clause was triggered, as per BBC Sport.
Liverpool have told AS Roma and Sevilla they will not loan Xherdan Shaqiri in this transfer window. It is likely Liverpool would seek €30m euros for any permanent deal in the summer.
