Liverpool fans have mocked Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola after he made glowing remarks about the Reds this season.
After winning the Premier League title for the past two consecutive seasons, the Citizens currently trail the Reds by 16 points and the Spanish boss has long since conceded defeat in the title race. Despite not having concerns about his side’s mentality during their defence of the league, he heaped praise on Jurgen Klopp’s side with many positive superlatives
Quoted by Football365, Guardiola said that Liverpool have been “fantastic, phenomenal, overwhelming”, and that the Merseysiders would be champions anywhere in Europe with the current domestic record that they have, listing Spain, Italy and Germany in that category. Despite his glowing comments, supporters mocked Guardiola and made their feelings clear on social media.
